51. My Grief Story | Unpacking Brené Brown’s 3 Elements of Grief

Grief is hard to talk about because it usually feels isolating or scary

The problem with that? Healing can’t happen in a vacuum. We NEED to feel heard and understood to heal, but It’s hard to find the right words to express the pain we’re feeling. Or a listening ear willing to hear us without judgement.

That’s why today, I’m peeling back the layers of grief by using one of my most difficult losses as an example to walk through Brené Brown’s three elements of grief.

I hope that this episode will remind you that we all have a grief story. Whether you’ve experienced a devastating loss or something small, you’re never alone. And it’s okay if your path to healing isn’t linear – it was never meant to be.

Do you need support with your grief? Talking with a licensed therapist can help.
